Watching Your Finances!

Watch Your Finances as well as Watching the Box!

Nowadays quite often our phone, internet and television service can be neatly packaged together.

Once again the message is, ‘loyalty hardly pays these days!’

Having been with BT for five years, it recently dawned on me that it would be in my interest to search for a better deal.

My first port of call was Martin Lewis’ website: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com

Here you can search for the best deals and, in my case being that I normally paid around £75 a month to BT, it was quite a pleasant surprise to discover that by switching to Sky and signing up to an 18 month contract, the cost could be halved to around £37.

Over the course of a year, this represents a significant saving of £444.

The sensible thing to do would be to use this money to reduce the debt on your credit card, rather than spending the money on items that you don’t really need!

As someone who has experienced mental health issues, it is my mission to help other people with their own battles in the field of mental health by sharing the knowledge and information that I have found to be beneficial. In the wake of mental health issues, financial challenges are inevitable and given that our antiquated education system makes us ill-equipped to deal with money matters in adult life, it is my hope that through my own experiences I can provide people with good old-fashioned basic economic sense. I also have a passion for history and nostalgia, especially football in the 1970s.
